Ashmore Estates Investigation Report

Overall, our investigation at Ashmore Estates produced a variety of potential paranormal experiences, including intelligent responses through investigative equipment, possible EVP captures, unexplained auditory phenomena, SLS camera anomalies, and compelling personal experiences reported by team members.

Our investigation at Ashmore Estates provided numerous moments of unexplained activity throughout the building. Using a variety of paranormal investigation tools and techniques, our team documented several experiences that stood out during the course of the investigation.

One of the most notable experiences occurred in the basement with the spirit believed to be John. During this session, we utilized a REM Pod alongside motion-activated flashing balls to attempt communication. We asked a series of yes-or-no questions and instructed John to activate the REM Pod to indicate a "yes" response. On multiple occasions, the REM Pod illuminated immediately following questions that required a positive answer, creating what appeared to be an intelligent pattern of interaction. The consistency of these responses made this one of the most compelling communication sessions of the investigation.

Another significant experience took place in the Women's Café. During this session, we used both flashing balls and dowsing rods while attempting to communicate with the spirit believed to be Elva Skinner. Whenever we asked if we were communicating with Elva, the flashing balls consistently activated. At the same time, the dowsing rods appeared to respond to several of our questions, further suggesting possible intelligent interaction. While these responses cannot be considered conclusive evidence, they were noteworthy due to their timing and consistency.

Our team also spent time in the girls' room, where several investigators began reading aloud in an attempt to encourage interaction. During the reading, multiple investigators reported hearing faint whispers coming from within the room. Although the voices were only slightly audible, they appeared to occur in response to the activity taking place and were heard by more than one member of the team, making the experience particularly interesting.

Additional potential evidence was captured in Mary and Margaret's Room, where we recorded several Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs). These recordings contained sounds and possible vocal responses that were not heard during the live investigation but became noticeable upon later review of the audio. As with all EVP evidence, further analysis is recommended to determine whether the recordings contain unexplained voices or environmental contamination.

Another memorable moment involved one of our investigators, Austin, while using a K2 meter. After asking whether the spirits wanted him to continue playing piano music, the K2 meter illuminated almost immediately. This response suggested that the music may have encouraged interaction or attracted the attention of whatever presence may have been in the room.

We also utilized an SLS (Structured Light Sensor) camera during our investigation. While scanning one of the rooms, the camera mapped what appeared to be a small child-sized figure climbing into a highchair. Although SLS camera data should always be interpreted with caution due to the possibility of false mappings, this event was particularly intriguing because of the figure's apparent movement and interaction with the furniture.

One of the most intense personal experiences occurred when an investigator volunteered to lie on the former electroshock therapy bed. Shortly after doing so, they reported sensations resembling mild electrical shocks throughout their body, along with a distinct feeling of being physically restrained or held down. No electrical source was present to explain these sensations, making the experience both unusual and unsettling for the investigator involved.

A group of us tried doing the Estes Method using a spirit box in the woman’s cafeteria.. The Estes method involves having one person wearing a blindfold and using headphones connected to the spirit box. A spirit box is a radio modified to play radio stations rapidly so spirits can use that energy to form words. Even though we tried multiple people we did not have any success. We always have to keep in mind that not all techniques work every time.

Overall, our investigation at Ashmore Estates produced a variety of potential paranormal experiences, including intelligent responses through investigative equipment, possible EVP captures, unexplained auditory phenomena, SLS camera anomalies, and compelling personal experiences reported by team members. While none of these events can independently confirm paranormal activity, the combination of equipment responses, environmental observations, and firsthand experiences made Ashmore Estates an active and fascinating location to investigate.

As with any paranormal investigation, all findings should be considered carefully and evaluated alongside natural explanations before drawing definitive conclusions.
