On August 17, 2017 TIP had the honor of investigating one of the most sought after locations in Joliet, the HIram Scutt Mansion. It took a lot of time and effort on behalf of Paul in order for us to investigate this location. Investigating that night was Paul, Christine, Lesley, Laura, Brandon and a special guest Deb. Paul and Deb were able to enter the mansion earlier in the day and set up cameras. Cameras were set up on all four levels of the home. TIP investigated the mansion on a summer night in August. We did not know that there was going to be a concert in Bicentennial Park that night, so we enjoyed an impromptu concert in the back yard of the mansion. Once the concert was over, TIP got down to business. We conducted EVP sessions in the hot spots in the home which included the basement, Mrs. Scutt's bedroom, a bedroom in the front of the home and the doll room on the third floor. The house felt very peaceful and we did not pick up on much while we were there. While listening to the EVP session in the basement at one point we ask for a spirit to make a knocking sound. Mixed in with our conversation a faint tapping can be heard. It will be posted to the EVP page. Towards the end of the evening we conducted a ghost box session in Mrs. Scutt's bedroom but did not have anything come thru. TIP is very appreciative of the owner of the mansion for allowing us to investigate. It is a beautiful home, filled with history and we are glad we got to investigate.
